20040824: Background Map resolution

Nancy,

When using a script, make sure you escape the "$" sign in the $MAPFIL
variable as "\$", otherwise, the script will interpret the character as
a shell variable.

A csh example is:

#!/bin/csh

gpmap << EOF
\$mapfil = hirdus.nws+hishus.nws+hiuhus.nws
garea = uslcc
proj = def
map = 23/1/1+3/1/1+3/1/2
...
run

exit
EOF
