20040415: 20040414: cyclone-gempak

Mynul,

The log message is correct:
[641] 040415/1542 [DCUAIR 2] INVALID DATTIM: 040416/1200
 040415/1542            1218 47041 TTAA 1612/ 47041

this means that station 47041 sent out an observation today
(April 15) stating that it was a sounding for 12Z April 16,
which is not possible. The decoder is just alerting you to that fact.

><DIV></DIV>&gt;Mynul,
><DIV></DIV>&gt;
><DIV></DIV>&gt;In the GEMPAK distribution, I provide entries for your pqact.co
> nf file which
><DIV></DIV>&gt;is used to decode the sounding data from the LDM into a GEMPAK
> file.
><DIV></DIV>&gt;
><DIV></DIV>&gt;Your ~ldm/etc/ldmd.conf file controls what data are sent to you
> r host from
><DIV></DIV>&gt;the upstream LDM. Tthe sounding data are in the IDS|DDPLUS feed
> , which most sites
><DIV></DIV>&gt;get at a minimum.
><DIV></DIV>&gt;
><DIV></DIV>&gt;Your pqact.conf file tells your LDM what to do with the data wh
> en it arrives.
><DIV></DIV>&gt;In the case of sounding data for GEMPAK, the data is sent to th
> e GEMPAK
><DIV></DIV>&gt;program dcuair for decoding.
><DIV></DIV>&gt;
><DIV></DIV>&gt;Complete details are available in the following web pages:
><DIV></DIV>&gt;

> nfiguration.html

><DIV></DIV>&gt;(see runtime configuration at the bottom of page)
><DIV></DIV>&gt;
><DIV></DIV>&gt;In a nut shell, copy the $GEMEXE/dcuair program to ~ldm/decoder
> s/dcuair
><DIV></DIV>&gt;(create the ~ldm/decoders directory if it doesn't already exist
> ).
><DIV></DIV>&gt;The dcuair entries for sounding data are found in
><DIV></DIV>&gt;$NAWIPS/ldm/etc/templates/pqact.gempak_decoders.in for your pqa
> ct.conf
><DIV></DIV>&gt;(and running the $NAWIPS/ldm/etc/gen_pqact.csh script will repl

><DIV></DIV>&gt;string in the sample file with the correct location for $GEMTBL
>  on your system).
><DIV></DIV>&gt;
><DIV></DIV>&gt;The other decoders (dc programs) are configured similarly. The
> easiest way is
><DIV></DIV>&gt;to concatenate the generated pqact.conf entries to your existin

><DIV></DIV>&gt;or configure your ldmd.conf to exec a separate instance of pqac

><DIV></DIV>&gt;the GEMPAK decoder entries.
