20010726: Gempak 5.6 build error

Dana,

You can probably add to $CONFIGDIR/Makeinc.sol:
NCOPT = "CXX= "

That will skip building the C++ interface to NetCDF (which isn't used by 
Gempak).

You might also need to do a "make distclean" from
$GEMPAK/source/netcdf-3.4/src and remove any files in $NAWIPS/netcdf/sol/lib.

In the latest 5.6.D.1 distribution, I packaged NetCDF 3.5.0. Don't know
if that would make a difference for you.
