20000907: more errors on linux gempak

Tom,
If you are unable to create gfw products on one system, then
its possible that the system is configured to run its X serevr
in 24 bit color mode which GEMPAK can't handle. If this is the case,
then xw and ntl won't work on that system either. Otherwise, if
you can produce some products on that system, but not others,
then its possible that something is using your available colors.

Linux does provide the Xvfb virtual X server which I use as an
alternative to draw gifs to that don't interfere with a logged in user.
