Re: Server4 test server
Title: Re: Server4 test server
I must be missing something here. All
that I get when I click on the catalog.xml links below is one line on
the page:
OPeNDAP-Server4
Is that the
expected response?
Peter
Peter:
You no doubt are using Safari on your Mac. Safari is funny
with XML. When you get the page that says "OPeNDAP-Server4" go to the
"View" menu and select "View Source" and you will
see the catalog.
As for filtering the files that aren't OpeNDAP accessible, Ticket
#467on the Trac system says (I had the same response as you did
and found this):
# Normally,
when a client asks for a data catalog, only datasets
and
#
subdirectories are shown. Use the following two parameters
to
# customize
this behavior. In the default text below, direcories
with
# names
that start with a dot are not shown and no files other
than
# those
described by regular expressions in TypeMatch above
are
# included.
Note that like the TypeMatch parameter, Exclude and
Include
# are lists
of items (regular expressions) where individual elements
are
# followed
by semicolons.
Catalog.catalog.Exclude=^\..*;
Catalog.catalog.Include=;
And given
the
TypeMatch?
Catalog.catalog.TypeMatch=nc:.*\.nc;ff:.*\.(dat|bin|dab);
only data
files like fnoc1.nc and test1.dat should be in the listings, but all
the files that don't begin with a dot are shown. I think we should
probably follow the rule in the comment (and only show the data
files).
We are
going to also need to have a way to stream README, et c., files to the
OLFS so it can send them on to the user because when people are using
a web browser to look at data that's what they
expect.
HTH. There are potentially some nice things in this
version. BTW, is there a schema for the DDX file?
