Re: GRIB tables and center 221

Robert,

This is a strange table, repeating parameter numbers with different definitions.

85:SoilTemp1:Average layer 1 soil temperature [K]
85:SoilTemp2:Average layer 2 soil temperature [K]
85:SoilTemp3:Average layer 3 soil temperature [K]
85:SoilTemp4:Average layer 4 soil temperature [K]

86:SoilMoist1:Average layer 1 soil moisture [kg/m^2]
86:SoilMoist2:Average layer 2 soil moisture [kg/m^2]
86:SoilMoist3:Average layer 3 soil moisture [kg/m^2]
86:SoilMoist4:Average layer 4 soil moisture [kg/m^2]

What entry should I use?

Robb...

Robb,

FWIW: Attached the related GRIBTAB file that the Panoply
user later sent me. It's all -1's at the top, though, rather
than identifying center 221 or a subcenter.
