Eva,

yes I wrote the above message. wgrib is developed at NCEP, so you might 
want to contact them about the problem.  Also, you might want 
to try our product IDV to extract the data. I wasn't clear if you already 
have tried that path. If that's the case, I'll look into finding the 
proper tables.
