Re: NEXRAD Level II Maintenance Notification - Saturday July 9th, 2016 (TOC)

The way I read the notice, the issue is with the NOAA gateway out of Silver Spring on I2. (NOT the output of the TDS.)  The Top Tiers will likely have an issue with the TDS "Path" to them.  (OPSNet connections & the RDS paths appear to be uneffected.)

WHAT: NOAA NOC has advised that MAX engineers will be performing a software upgrade on their switch connected to SSMC NOC.

Start Date-Time: 7/10/2016 0130 UTC (7/9/2016 9:30pm ET)
Stop Date-Time: 7/10/2016 0300 UTC (7/9/2016 11:00pm ET)

NOTE 1: Customers who access Internet2 or TR-CPS thru the NOAA campus in Silver Spring may experience between 5 and 10 minutes of downtime during the maintenance window.

NOTE 2: No service impact for Internet access is expected for OPSnet customers who access the Internet through the NOAA campus in Silver Spring, including sites with OPSnet Alternate Transport Project (ATP) connections.  If your site experiences degraded service or an outage accessing the Internet during the maintenance window, contact OPSnet support (+1.888.662.2638 / +1.301.713.0896 / address@hidden).

Does this mean that the  TDS feed to Silver Spring Radar2s  and to IDP Radar2s be down down tomorrow for 2 hours between 8:30-10:30 pm CT?

 Start Time: 7/9/2016 8:30pm (Central Time)
 Duration: 2 Hours
 Event: NOAA NOC Software & Security Updates (TOC Internet II Gateway)
 
 The activity will take about 2 hour to complete and will effect Data flow of the "Primary Level II Path" for up to 10 minutes.  (TDS Internet II Path)
 
 The Alternate Data Path via the ROC servers is not part of this activity.
 (No service interruption via Alternate path is anticipated.)
