[Datastream #PTZ-855659]: is goeswest server down?

This problem was addressed early last week.  Since you had commented
that your script(s) were hitting the server every 5 minutes, I figured
you would have seen that the problems you had been experiencing
had gone away.

The problem was that something hit our GOES-East dish knocking its
alignment off to the point that its signal-to-noise was marginally
acceptable.  This resulted in noisy data that, in turn, resulted
in slow performance by the ADDE directory listing server.

After re-aligning the dish and killing off processes that had been
running excessively long (>= 30 minutes), the load average on the
machine returned to normal levels and has remained there ever since.
We access routinely imagery off of both our GOES-East and GOES-West
servers, and we have not seen any problems since a couple of hours
after the dish alignment.
