[Datastream #PTZ-855659]: is goeswest server down?

The Subject: line of your inquiry refereced GOES-West, not GOES-East.  Are
you also having problems with GOES-West?

I just logged onto the machine doing the GOES-East ingest and found
a load average of over 30 which was being caused by numerous image listing
invocations.  I did not trace down where those requests were coming from
before killing them, but is it possible that you ran a number of
inquiries when your first ones did not work?  If yes, please refrain from
doing so as it will only cause additional problems on the server/ingester.

Yours was the first indication we had about any problems of getting
images off of either of our GOES ingesters.  In cases where image listings
become very slow the cause is most often due to some bad data being
ingested, and this, in turn, causes image access (listing and serving) to
become very slow.
