Temporary slowdown in MADIS data access

Hi,

We are currently experiencing problems that have temporarily reduced
our server farm capacity. Ftp and web users are all being served from
one system, so they should expect to see slower performance than usual.
Ldm is still being served from more than one system, but may also experience a slowdown due to the reduction in overall capacity.

We expect the situation to be resolved in the next several hours.
If the status changes, we will send out another email.

Thanks,

Mike

MADIS data users,

We are still experiencing some problems with the MADIS distribution
farm. Here is the current status:

ldm - full capacity has been restored
web - full capacity has been restored

ftp:

<username>_madis_public

Two third's capacity has been restored, you may be experiencing slower
access than normal.

<username>_madis_research
<username>_madis_gov
<username>_madis_noaa

At the current time there is a 50% chance of failed logins.

We will send out another update as events develop. If anyone is
finding results other than noted above, please let us know.

Thanks,

Mike
