Hi Scott,

re:

The images that are sent in the IDD UNIWISC (aka MCIDAS) datastream
are available for FTP download at:

machine: unidata2.ssec.wisc.edu
user: unidata3
pass: unirec7
directory: neartime/yyyymmdd; yours will be in neartime/20050818 and
           neartime/20050819

The naming scheme of the images is straightforward:

yymmddhhmm.type

Some examples:

200508182159.mdr <- manually digitized radar
200508182200.goes10wv <- GOES-West Water Vapor (6.8 um)
200508182200.goes10vis <- GOES-West Visible (0.65 um)
200508182200.goes10ir <- GOES-West thermal IR (10.7 um)
200508182200.goes10irs <- GOES-West shortwave IR (3.9 um)
200508182200.goes10irl <- GOES-West longwave IR (12.0 um)
200508182215.goes12wv <- GOES-East Water Vapor (6.5 um)
200508182215.goes12ir
200508182215.goes12vis
200508182215.goes12irs
200508182215.goes12co2 <- GOES-East longwave IR (13.3 um)
200508182100.mollir <- global thermal IR in Mollweide projection
200508182100.mollwv <- global Water Vapor in Mollweide projection
200508182215.floater <- floater sector, typically from GOES-East
200508182215.floater2 <- floater sector, typically from GOES-West

No worries.
