Case 20, June 2, 1998 Pennsylvania Tornado, is expected near the beginning of October.
We are working on ways to make the case studies available to
both current application users and AWIPS users in suitable
formats.
The goal is to store data in original GRIB format and provide decoders
for various diplay softwares.
Case 19 is the first case available in netCDF as well as the standard GRIB, GEMPAK, MCIDAS, and NIDS formats.
COMET case study loading continues to be streamlined with the
creation of new scripts to expediate the process. A Perl script has been completed for loading the dataset project information. A second, far more inclusive Perl script handling the dataset description process and the Empress module for insertion of data into CODIAC is also now complete.
Additional improvements in the HTML interface.
