IDD Participation
Note that these participation numbers are based on sites that report statistics.
Although we strongly encourage IDD sites to report statistics, not
all do.

The development of real-time stats by Steve Chiswell has greatly improved the ability to view current latencies to sites, and has allowed the more robust testing and development of the LDM/IDD technology by the UPC staff.
Since last October about 10 new sites have expressed interest in
participating in the IDD. And, our international reach is
growing further.
We now have new sites in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and Hong Kong. Talks are
under way regarding establishing a site in Argentina. Also, IDD
data was fed successfully to Germany in the WMO's pilot project
testing the use of the LDM for data relay. We are currently exploring deploying the LDM/IDD technology into Tomsk, Siberia.
The IDS, DDS, PPS, and HDS feed types remain the most popular. In
decreasing order, the next most popular were NNEXRAD, PROFILER,
NLDN, UNIWISC-MCIDAS, FNEXRAD, DIFAX, CONDUIT, ACARS, etc...
