9 CF Conventions
Overview of the increasingly important CF conventions.

The CF Conventions are an important framework for agreements on interoperable data representations in the atmospheric and ocean sciences.

9.0  CF Conventions Overview
The CF Conventions are becoming a widely used standard for atmospheric, ocean, and climate data.
9.1  Principles
The CF conventions follow five general principles.
9.2  Coverage
An effort is currently underway to expand the coverage of CF conventions.
9.3  CF Standard Names
The CF Standard Name Table currently includes over 800 entries.
9.4  Governance
A Community governance structure is now established for maintaining and advancing the CF conventions.
