NetCDF-4.0.1 is currently available.

• We're always seeking feedback on performance and functionality.
• The netCDF daily snapshot should be used to get bug fixes for enhanced netCDF-4 model features.
• ncdump handles netCDF-4 enhanced model in 4.0.1 release.
• ncgen only handles classic model in 4.0.1 release, but an upgraded version of ncgen has been developed by Dennis Heimbigner and is available with --enable-ncgen4 configure option.

NetCDF-4.1 will contain the openDAP client, allowing remote access to netCDF files.
