Introduction to Overlaying Images

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (ABoM) has developed routines that allow McIDAS users to overlay imagery on top of any navigated display. These applications are new in Unidata McIDA-X v2002.


Overlaying in the Graphics Plane

The FRMOLAY command allows you to do overlay RAW radar or general BRIT values from an image available by ADDE on top of any navigated McIDAS frame.

Compositing Images in an AREA

The IMGOLAY command allows you to composite RAW radar or general BRIT values from an image available by ADDE in an AREA file.
