Conventions

The following typographical conventions are used in this chapter:

bold - McIDAS keyboard entries appear in bold; type these entries exactly as they appear
italics - variables that you must enter, such as command parameters, appear in italics
Courier bold - file names, system variables, directories, paths, program names and operating-system-level commands (Unix) appear in this font
