Unidata McIDAS-X:
September 29, 2007 Changes

This list of routines below represents modules modified by the UPC for McIDAS-X, -XCD.

Please refer to the installation and configuration instructions at the end of this page for details on how to upgrade your system with this addendum.

File(s) Problem/Change
mcmkhelp.c Fixed a problem that could cause core dumps on SunOS 10 x86_64 when executable was built in 64-bit mode using SunStudio 12 compilers.
dmgrid.pgm Corrected code that determined type of GRIB message. This modification is the same as was made to the GRIB filer, dmbin.pgm.
gvaradir.cp
gvaraget.cp
Changed typing of third parameter passed to Mcdaytimesec from time_t to int to match function prototype. This fixed a problem first encountered when serving SDI-ingested GVAR data on Solaris 5.8 when gvaradir and gvaraget were built as 64-bit executables.
makefile Corrected zlib library reference in LDFLAGS being passed to Jasper configure invocation on SunOS.
nowrutil.c Closed a comment block (caused compiler warning, but no errors).
adminTclProcs.tcl Removed twice daily scouring of BUFR/GRIB files to generated file crontab.ldm_mcidas. Twice daily scouring seemed like a good idea, but it is not given the heavyweight nature of scouring GRIB metadata out of the MySQL database. This scouring should be done in the middle of the night when users are not likely to be accessing model output via ADDE.
