Unidata McIDAS-X:
April 15, 2007 Changes


This list of routines below represents modules modified by the UPC for McIDAS-X, -XCD.

Please refer to the installation and configuration instructions at the end of this page for details on how to upgrade your system with this addendum.

mccomp.sh Changed lcurses to lncurses in Linux section. NB: this is the same change that is being made in the FreeBSD and Darwin sections.

Modifications allow direct use of PNG-compressed AREA and GINI images. arealine.c and ispnghed_.c are new routines; icget.for, rdtrka.for, giniutil.[ch], and makefile were modified to institute the change.

olaybar.pgm
Changed the method used to exit in 'subroutine finish' from STOP to call m0exit( code ) so the program exit code is properly set.
ADDEIMAGE.CORE The list of ADDE servers for various datasets was updated to remove CACIMBO.GGY.UGA.EDU and replace ADDE.GEO.NSF.GOV with ADDE.CISE-NSF.GOV.

VERSION.TXT
CHANGES.2006 was updated to reflect all of the changes made to routines on this date.
VERSION.TXT was updated to v2006g to reflect the new bugfix addendum.

The McIDAS administrator (typically the user mcidas) should perform the following steps in the order listed to update his/her system with addendum modifications/additions:
