Removing the Previous Version of McIDAS-X

After McIDAS-X 2005 is installed, tested, and working properly, remove the previous version of McIDAS-X. Run each command from the $HOME/mcidas directory.

  1. Log on to the workstation as mcidas.

  2. Remove the mcidas version# directory tree and its contents, replacing version# with the previous version number.

    Example: If the previous version installed on your workstation was 2004, you would:
