Displaying Real-time Data

You can display real-time images, grids, surface data, and upper air data using the McIDAS-X GUI. To display real-time grids, surface data and upper air data, the ADDE Client Routing Table must contain the groups RTGRIDS and RTPTSRC. To verify that the groups are present, select ADDE Servers in the File menu, then check that RTGRIDS and RTPTSRC are in the list of servers. If they are not present and you want to add them, select Add ADDE Server and then insert RTGRIDS in the ADDE Name field and insert the IP address of the appropriate server in the IP Address field. Repeat for the group RTPTSRC.
