In general, you should favor use of the on-line documentation rather than download and install your own because the on-line documentation is constantly being improved.

Be that as it may, here are the instructions for downloading and installing LDM documentation.

  1. Become the LDM user
  2. Obtain the LDM documentation
  3. Unpack the documentation

Become the LDM User

Obtain the LDM Documentation

The LDM documentation can be downloaded by going to the LDM GForge site and following the "Documentation" link in the "Latest file Releases" section. You should download into the LDM user's home directory.


Unpack the Documentation

Unpack the distribution in the LDM user's home directory using the zcat(1) and pax(1) utilities. For example:

cd $HOME
zcat ldm-doc.tar.Z | pax -r
