When you choose a product which is issued by a single location, the most recent product available is immediately displayed in the Text Report Window. An example of such a product are the SPC products such as the Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Watches, since all the watches are issued by the office in Kansas City.
The most recent bulletin available is displayed in the Text Report window. If the Previous or Next buttons are available, you may continue to search for other bulletins. Click on the "Hours Covered" radio buttons to limit the search to products from the current time back to the selected number of hours.
If you chose a product which is available on a "per station/per event"
basis, NWX will search through the bulletins and denote
those stations which have issued such a product on the
map window with a red diamond. By clicking on one of the available
stations, the product for that station is obtained, and may be
viewed in the Text Report window. The station which is being viewed
will be marked with a green "+" in the map window.
Products which are routinely issued by stations are not searched prior to displaying the stations which may be available on the map. For these bulletins, the stations which issue such products are maintained in one of the NWX tables. By choosing one of the stations marked on the map, NWX searches for the most recent report issued by that station.
As in the case with the NGM MOS output, the number of stations which may
be available is very large. In these cases, it may be helpful to
choose one of the predefined map areas in the MAP pulldown menu,
or by using the ZOOM feature of the map window which will let you
select an area within the map window using the left mouse button
to draw a rubber band box around the region you desire.
