9.0.9 NMAP Cloud Height Determination
In order to use the Cloud Height determination function, you must first load an IR (Infrared) satellite image into the data frame.

Once you have the satellite image, select the cloud height icon on the main display panel. Cloud height determination is based on either the nearest sounding location and time, or a standard atmosphere profile. Use the "Options..." selection to change the default, which is the nearest sounding.

If the selected temperature within the satellite image occurs at more than 1 level in the sounding, the status message box will report that the temperature occurs at multimple levels. The Height box will list each level that the temperature occurs at.
