How are GEMPAK programs Organized?

Data types are used to classify program types

  1. Surface Data			SF Programs

  2. Sounding/Upper Air Data		SN Programs

  3. Gridded Data			GD Programs

  4. Objective Analysis		OA Programs

  5. Graphics Capabilities		GP Programs

  6. Decoders			DC Decoders

There are over 200 separate GEMPAK programs. Integrated Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) provide a flexible interface to many of these programs.
