NAWIPS was adopted as a transition project at NCEP (NMC)
NAWIPS comprises the GEMPAK package and the Graphical User Interface (GUI) programs (NMAP, NTRANS, NSHARP, NALARM, and NWX) referred to as "N-Progs".
Case studies developed through UCAR Cooperative Program for Operational Meteorology, Education, and Training (COMET) and the National Weather Service Office of Meteorology (NWS/OM) are available for download or order through CODIAC.
