  1. Use GDSTREAM to plot 850mb streamlines for the most recent ETA analysis.

  2. Plot 700mb geostrophic wind vectors, and 300mb geostrophic wind vectors for the 12hr ETA forecast field over Colorado.

  3. Now overlay the output from above with the thermal wind in the layer from 700mb to 300mb.

  4. Lastly, plot the component of the temperature gradient along the wind direction at 850mb for the 48hr ETA forecast. Use the CURSOR garea command to select an interesting area to zoom in on.
