Accessing COMET Case Studies on the WWW for Research, Training,
and Education
5. Summary
The NWS is funding this collaborative project to make a
diverse library of meteorological case study data available
through an easy-to-use WWW interface. The case study library
provides access to data that can be used in a variety of ways
for education, training, and research. Tools are being
developed to make the case study data easier to use. The tools
include translators to allow data to be downloaded in
different formats and the ability to visually browse data of
different data types. Over the next several years, as many as
30 case studies will be made available through the CODIAC
system.
