COMET case studies are available through the WWW providing easy access to a comprehensive collection of data covering a variety of meteorological events. The data can be searched, browsed, downloaded and ordered through the easy-to-use WWW interface of the CODIAC data management system. New capabilities are being added to the case studies and the CODIAC data management system. Sample exercises, GIF images and detailed summaries of the events are being included to make the case studies adaptable for diverse settings.

These datasets are being made more generally available to facilitate collaboration and cooperation between the NWS Science and Operations Officers (SOOs) and the university research and education communities. The project is funded by the NWS Office of Meteorology and leverages the resources of UCAR's COMET, JOSS, and Unidata programs.
