- The 1999 COMET Case Study Survey was completed providing information on software usage, platform usage, and generating contributions for outside cases.
- Elizabeth Page presented a paper, co-authored with Dolores Kiessling and Jeff Weber, at the National Weather Association in Biloxi, October 1999, titled "New Directions for the COMET Case Study Library".
- Elizabeth Page and Unidata are continuing to work with the NCDC to establish an archive of NOAAPORT data to support case study development in the AWIPS era.
- The AMS Interactive Information and Processing Systems (IIPS) for Meteorology, Oceanography, and Hydrology will hold a special session.We invite and encourage all Unidata and
university collaborators to submit papers for the AMS-IIPS Special Session.
- Elizabeth Page will be presenting a paper co-authored with Dolores Kiesling and Jeff Weber: "COMET Case Study Library Into the New Millenium" at the special session.
