Organizational Elements:

About $900K in funding for the two-year THREDDS project is "in the mail."

Since receiving word THREDDS was funded, we've

• Reorganized responsibility areas for Unidata staff so John Caron (technical lead), Robb Kambic, and Ethan Davis could begin immediately working part time on the aspects of THREDDS most closely related to Unidata and DODS.

• Made arrangements for Prof. Stefano Nativi of the University of Florence to spend a portion of his sabbatical year at Unidata and the Unviersity of Colorado working on aspects of THREDDS.

• Established a thredds@unidata.ucar.edu email list

• Created overview pages

• Asked collaborating partners to update the THREDDS-relevant portions of their web sites and have include pointers in:

• Drafted a matrix "defining success" from the points of view of different types of participants

A scheduled meeting for all the NSDL PIs was postponed due to the terrorist attacks and supplanted by a 100-node conference call on September 21. The materials for the conference call presentations can be found in:

We've put our own face-to-face meeting of the T3F (THREDDS Technical Task Force) on hold pending the postponed NSDL PIs meeting.
