Remember the Alamo...and Unidata
DeSouza award
Richard D. Clark of Millersville University receiving the 2006 Russell L. DeSouza Award

Unidata staff will be San Antonio-bound in a week or so to attend the AMS Annual Meeting. We look forward to meeting with new community members as well as becoming reacquainted with old friends. We note times, authors, and talks or posters being presented by UPC staff and other sessions of interest at this link.

Plan to stop by the Unidata booth (number 540 and 542) where staff will be available to answer your software and data-related questions, and to greet you.

In addition to the technical and scientific presentations, we urge you to attend the presentation of the 2007 Russell L. DeSouza Award at 8:15am Thursday, January 18 in conference room 216 AB. As in years gone by, this year's award goes to a worthy recipient whose service has been exemplary.

Note that Tom Baltzer, Unidata staff member and LEAD developer, will be demonstrating LEAD's capabilities at the Unidata booth, 540 and 542, throughout the meeting. If you'd like to see how LEAD can help you search for and visualize data, select regions/times for making model runs on the TeraGrid, and visualize the results, as well as how its capabilities will be useful to you in your research and teaching activities, schedule a personalized LEAD demo by e-mailing Tom at tbaltzer@ucar.edu, and signup sheets will be available at the booth as well.
