how to use the BaseMapAdapter

Dear All:

   Where can I find the example about the map project? I'm confused with the 
BaseMapAdapter class.

   I can't find the tutorials from the site 
http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/~billh/tutorial/index.html . Or where can I get the 
total tutorial?
