I wasn't suggesting direct access to and modification
of internal variables of your UnionSet and the Sets in
its union. I was suggesting constructing a new UnionSet
and new copies of the Sets in the union, but modifying
the longitudes in the calls to the constructors for
the Sets in the union.

Good luck,
Bill
