AW: your mail

Hi Dave,

I ran your program and didn't see any transparency as you said. I tried
my own program to get transparency for your MathType and Data without
any success. I can display my own data with my program with transparency
but I recognized that transparency only seem to work for volume plots.
If I choose a MathType of ((x, y, z) -> value) for my data and switch of
the point mode I can see transparency. But if I have an indexed MathType
like yours (index -> (x, y, z, value)) representing only single points I
am not able to set up any transparency.

That's all I can say about that, sorry. Seems like visad and/or java3d
don't support transparency for points but for volumes. I'm sure Bill or
someone else can say more about this.

Cheers, Mathias
