Mr. Vicente forgot to mention that his program costs $395.  VisAD is free,
works on multiple platforms, allows extensibility through Java programming,
supports 3-D displays with hardware acceleration through Java3D, and reads
HDF-EOS, FITS, GIF, JPG, and netCDF file formats.
