Subject:    New WSR-88D Installation Information effective no
            later than September 30, 2011

NWS is installing a Weather Surveillance Radar-1988, Doppler
(WSR-88D) in Grays Harbor County, WA.  The radar is scheduled to
be operational no later than September 30, 2011.  Below are
specifics on the radar:

    ICAO: KLGX
    Name: Langley Hill
    Location: 47o 07' 0.83"N / 124o 06' 23.92"W
    Ground elevation (MSL): 73m /240ft
    Tower height (AGL): 30m / 98ft
    Antenna height (AGL): 34.7m / 114ft
    Antenna height (MSL): 108m / 354ft

This radar will be a baseline WSR-88D and will receive the Dual
Polarization upgrade as soon as possible after installation.  The
radar will be considered as part of the WSR-88D network (e.g.
data distributed in real time and archived; will operate with the
same baseline software and data formats as the other network
radars).

Further notices will be sent as the operational date approaches.
