ON THE SBN/NOAAPORT WILL BE EXTENDED TO EIGHTEEN [18] HOURS
FORECAST TIME.

DAVE NIVER [301] 713-0363 EXTENSION 184 IS THE COGNIZANT TECHNICAL
INDIVIDUAL.  ANTHONY ROBINSON [301] 713-1892 EXTENSION 145 IS THE
DRG FOCAL POINT FOR THIS ITEM.

THE FOLLOWING AFFECTED PRODUCTS ARE DISSEMINATED OVER THE
AWIPS/NOAAPORT DATASTREAMS:


SPECIFICATIONS FOR NEW RUC13 FORECAST GRIDS REMAIN THE SAME AS
THE CURRENT RUC13 GRIDS.

1. COVERAGE:  CONUS GRID 130 (13KM)

2. PARAMETERS, LEVELS, FORECAST INTERVALS, HEADERS:
THREE NEW PARAMETERS WILL BE ADDED TO THE RUC 13 GRIDS.  THEY ARE
PBL HEIGHT  SIMULATED COMPOSITE REFLECTIVITY  AND 0-1KM HELICITY.

3. DAILY DATA VOLUME:  8.3 GB  WHICH IS AN INCREASE OVER THE 4.5
GB SENT TODAY.

4. THE RUC13 MODEL IS DISTRIBUTED HOURLY.

5. NCEP ESTIMATES THE DAILY DATA VOLUME OF THESE GRIB2 GRIDS TO
BE 8.3 GB (345 MB PER CYCLE).

The NWS TG SHALL PROVIDE THESE PRODUCTS IN VERY-NEAR-REAL TIME TO
THE AWIPS NCF FOR UPLINK ON THE SBN TG2 CHANNEL.
