On Monday April 2, 2007 at 7:00am EDT (11:00 UTC), we will implement
Part 3 of a configuration change for AWIPS NCF traffic at the NWS
Telecommunications Gateway (NWSTG Washington, DC).

A maintenance period of 45min is scheduled, but we hope the actual
downtime will be less.

_*Affected traffic*_

These scheduled network modifications are part of the TG preparation for
access to the Backup TG (BTG).

We expect delays for the following traffic
1. Radar Level 3 data feed from AWIPS NCF to radar multicast sources
This delay may affect Radar Level 3 multicast data
2. Data exchanged between AWIPS NCF and NWSTG

We do not expect any other data traffic to be affected by this migration.

*_Critical Weather:_*

If the scheduled date is designated a Critical Weather Day, the outage
will be postponed.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this outage may cause. Please
contact me if the timing of this outage presents a critical problem for
your operations.

Please forward this message to anyone who will be affected by this
action but was left off the mailing list. I would appreciate if you
would send me the email address of anyone that should be informed of
scheduled downtime in the future, but was not included in the current
list. Also, inform me if you wish to have your name removed from this
list.
