SUBJECT:  AVIATION WEATHER CENTER MOVE TO A NEW FACILITY.
     
THE AVIATION WEATHER CENTER...AWC...IS MOVING TO A NEW FACILITY. 
THE OPERATIONAL UNITS WILL HAVE A PHASED MOVE WHICH WILL BEGIN ON 
MARCH 15 1999 AND BE COMPLETED ON MARCH 23 1999.
     
ON MARCH 17 1999 THE NATIONAL METEOROLOGICAL CENTER...BRACKNELL 
ENGLAND...WILL BACK UP THE HIGH LEVEL SIGWX UNIT DURING ITS MOVE. 
BRACKNELL WILL PROVIDE THE ICAO REQUIRED SIGNIFICANT WEATHER 
CHARTS FOR THE AREAS NORMALLY PROVIDED BY AWC.
     
ON MARCH 23 1999...AT 2100 UTC...THE EN-ROUTE UNITS WHICH PRODUCE 
THE AREA FORECAST... AIRMET... AND SIGMET WILL MOVE.  THE AIR 
FORCE WEATHER AGENCY...AFWA...AT OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE...OMAHA 
NEBRASKA...WILL BACK UP THE EN-ROUTE UNITS DURING THEIR MOVE. AFWA 
WILL PROVIDE AIRMETS AND SIGMETS.  IN ACCORDANCE WITH PUBLISHED 
BACK-UP PROCEDURES THE AREA FORECAST WILL NOT BE PROVIDED DURING 
THE BACKUP...THEREFORE...IF THE EN-ROUTE UNIT MOVE TAKES MORE THAT 
SEVEN HOURS AN AREA FORECAST ISSUANCE CYCLE WOULD BE MISSED.
     
THE ISSUANCE OF CONVECTIVE SIGMETS...LOW LEVEL GRAPHICS...AND 
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT DOCUMENTATION WILL NOT BE AFFECTED AS THE 
UNITS WILL SELF BACK UP DURING THEIR MOVES.

THE HIGH AND LOW LEVEL GRAPHICS UNITS WILL MOVE AT 1200 UTC ON 
MARCH 17 1999 AND THEIR NEW TEPEPHONE NUMBERS WILL BE:

THE INTERNATINAL FLIGHT DOCUMENTATION UNIT WILL MOVE AT 1300 UTC 
ON MARCH 17 1999 AND ITS NEW NON-TOLL FREE NUMBER WILL BE:
     
816-584-7262.
     
THE NEW TOLL FREE NUMBER IS NOT YET KNOWN.  THE NEW TOLL FREE 
NUMBER WILL BE FAXED TO ALL CUSTOMERS ON OR BEFORE THE DAY OF THE 
MOVE.
     
THE EN-ROUTE UNITS WILL MOVE AT 2100 UTC ON MARCH 23 1999 AND 
THEIR NEW TELEPHONE NUMBERS WILL BE:
