/WSR-88D/ COMMISSIONED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE /NWS/
FOR CHEYENNE... WYOMING... USERS NOTIFIED... AND SERVICES
CONFIRMED... THE MAJOR CRITERIA FOR DECOMMISSIONING THE
WSR-74C AT CHEYENNE... WYOMING /RADAR IDENTIFIER - CYS/ HAVE
BEEN COMPLETED.  THEREFORE... THE WSR-74C RADAR WILL BE
DECOMMISSIONED OFFICIALLY ON APR 24... 1996.

      DECOMMISSIONING MEANS THAT THIS RADAR IS NO LONGER
ISSUING PRODUCTS... SUCH AS THE RADAR OBSERVATION /ROB/
MESSAGE... IN AN OFFICIAL CAPACITY.
