SERVICE /NWS/ WILL TRANSFER SHORT-FUSE WARNING RESPONSIBILITY FOR
15 COUNTIES IN MICHIGAN AND ADJACENT GREAT LAKES NEAR SHORE
WATERS /TABLE 1/ TO THE NORTH CENTRAL LOWER MICHIGAN /APN/
WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE /WSO/ IN GAYLORD MICHIGAN.

     FIVE /5/ COUNTIES WILL BE TRANSFERRED FROM THE WSO IN
HOUGHTON LAKE /HTL/...MICHIGAN.  EIGHT /8/ COUNTIES WILL BE
TRANSFERRED FROM THE WSO IN MUSKEGON /MKG/...MICHIGAN.  TWO /2/
COUNTIES WILL BE TRANSFERRED FROM THE WSO IN SAULT STE. MARIE
/SSM/...MICHIGAN.  WSO APN WILL ISSUE SHORT-FUSE WARNING PRODUCTS
/TABLE 2/ AND RELATED PRODUCTS THAT GIVE FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION ON
THE WARNINGS /TABLE 3/.  FOR HOLDERS OF NWS OPERATIONS MANUAL
CHAPTER C-47...COUNTY WARNING AREAS...THIS TRANSFER IS THE 20TH
UPDATE IN 1996.

     BECAUSE OF THIS COUNTY WARNING TRANSFER...SUBSCRIBERS TO THE
NOAA WEATHER WIRE SERVICE /NWWS/ AND THE FAMILY OF SERVICES /FOS/
