Users of Max Planck's CDO (Climate Data Operators)?

I recently downloaded and installed the CDO package and was wondering  
if anyone out there in netCDF-land uses them often. I'm hoping to be  
able to use them to manipulate CCSM data, but it's not clear to me if  
that's reasonable.
