EMERGENCY OUTAGE AT NIU...

For the last week, our connections to the Internet and campus backbone
have been slow, and today, we have been losing data left and right. They
just found a serious problem with the routers. See below for timing
details.

SPOC:  Herb Kuryliw
Duration:  15 minutes

Item:  Network Engineering will make changes to the network to resolve
issues on the extremely slow connection problems.  It should take only a
few minutes.

Impact:  Affects all network services including e-mail, mainframe
connectivity, internet, and remote file services.

Sites affected: ALL
