Point data files from local sources

Hello,
I am looking for a sample idv compliant netcdf file of point source
data.  The data source should be from local sources like local met or
pollution monitoring that has been archived/stored for use in IDV.  I am
having trouble getting IDV to open mine and want to eliminate any
mistakes I am making in archiving my data.
