Many of you may already be aware that the kick off telecon for the new OGC
CF-netCDF Standards Working Group (SWG) will be held tomorrow (Wednesday
October 14) at 10 am Eastern Time. Since this is a formal OGC standards
group, it is being handled via the auspices of the OGC web portal. If you'd
like to participate in the SWG but you are not yet a full member or
observer, the first requirement is that you be associated with an
organization that's a member of the OGC. If you are, then your
organizational rep can add you as a user of the OGC portal. If you already
have an account on the OGC portal, the next step is to complete the observer
agreement on the OGC portal at:
http://portal.opengeospatial.org/?m=public&orderby=default&tab=7
That will put you onto the mailing list for the SWG and will enable access
to the CF-netCDF project page at:
http://portal.opengeospatial.org/?m=projects&a=view&project_id=327
We'll try to provide periodic summary updates to the GALEON list, but the
bulk of the work will be done on the OGC portal and SWG mailing list.
