From lmiller at unidata.ucar.edu Fri Jun 18 10:51:32 1999 From: lmiller at unidata.ucar.edu (Linda Miller) Date: Fri, 18 Jun 1999 10:51:32 -0600 Subject: 19990618: New Case Study Contact Message-ID: <21765082.3138691892@burns.unidata.ucar.edu> Hi all, Congratulations to Jeff Weber, who will begin as the new full-time contact at Unidata for the collaborative case study project--see: http://www.joss.ucar.edu/cometCases/ Jeff recently received his Master's Degree from the University of Colorado, where his main areas of study were synoptic climatology, remote sensing, and meteorology. While moving toward his degree, Jeff worked at NOAA (in the wave propogation labs), NSIDC (archiving datasets), and at CIRES where he was involved in the Program for Arctic Regional Climate Assessment (PARCA). He's been at Unidata as a half-time student on the case study project for about 10 months. Jeff benefitted directly, as a student, by accessing the COMET case study data being made available through CODIAC's WWW interface while working on his research activities. He's very enthusiastic to augment the cases now available to the community. Don't hesitate to contact Jeff with comments or suggestions. We would like to solicit additional case studies to be loaded into CODIAC for the broader community use. If you have a case study that you would like to share, please contact us. Jeff's email is: jweber at unidata.ucar.edu or support at unidata.ucar.edu Just in case you're wondering what happened to Ethan Davis, he's still at Unidata and will be working full-time on the Distributed Oceanographic Data System (DODS) collaborative project--see: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/dods/ Thanks, Linda Linda Miller External Liaison, Unidata University Corporation for Atmospheric Research P.O.
