Dear Workshop
Participants:
Thank you for
registering for this summer's workshop, Shaping the Future, Unidata
Users as Leaders. We are expecting over 50 participants from
around the country. We are even expecting one guest from Mexico,
and one from China!!! A preliminary workshop
schedule is now available on-line. You can also view a list
of the participants.
Logistics:
You will be staying at the College Inn, a
facility run by the University of Colorado.
Single rooms have been reserved for
Sunday, June 18th - Thursday, June 22nd.
If you plan to bring a
guest or have any special requirements, please contact Donna
West. Unidata can not incur costs for double occupancy or guest meals.
Please see the price list if you plan to bring
someone with you.
When you arrive at Denver
International Airport, your best option for door-to-door service to the College
Inn is via the Super Shuttle. You will be reimbursed for this cost.
You can pay for and get information on the Super Shuttle near the baggage claim.
Final Registration:
Check in at the College Inn any time Sunday (unless you specify
otherwise). The best rooms go first, so the earlier you get there, the
better for you.
You will need a credit card for a deposit on the room which will cover
incidentals such as long distance calls or meals for a guest.
Please plan to join our icebreaker,
poolside at the Inn from 4:30 - 6:30 on Sunday. This is a great way to get
to know the other participants, speakers, and Unidata staff before things get
serious on Monday. Light snacks with beer, wine, margaritas and soft drinks
will be served.
If you know that you can't make the icebreaker, please send an email
letting us know. You are welcome to bring guests over the age of
21 to this event, but again, we need you to let
us know so that we have enough of everything.
The National Science Foundation
and the COMET program funded by the National
Weather Service) are sponsoring the Workshop.
