2005 Training Workshop for Unidata Software

This year Unidata is offering a live webcast of our annual training workshop on IDV, GEMPAK, McIDAS, and LDM software packages. Our workshop is designed primarily for guests in our classroom, but we hope that the webcast will be helpful to those who can't attend.

The webcast is available here:
http://webcast.unidata.ucar.edu/ramgen/broadcast/workshop/workshop.rm
Please note that this link will only work when the webcast is running.

To participate, you will need RealPlayer. Version 8 should allow Windows, Sun, and SGI users to view the the webcast.

Workshop sessions run roughly 8:30 am - 5 pm Mountain Time:
We attempt to start the webcast at 8 am so viewers can get set up early and we will run the webcast during breaks and lunchtime to avoid interruptions in the feed. As technology limits the quality of the video stream, you may find it especially helpful to follow along with the course outlines provided on the software homepages when available.

We will be webcasting once for each software package:
July 20 - 21 : IDV Session A, course description, IDV homepage
July 22 - 23: LDM Session A, course description, LDM homepage
July 25 - 27: GEMPAK, course description, GEMPAK homepage
July 31 - August 4: McIDAS, course description, McIDAS homepage

Archived Webcasts:
We will not be archiving webcasts this year. Archiving has proven to be labor intensive with a less than ideal end product. We continue to investigate options that will be more useful and polished for the future.
